Botiga Pro adds a Product Video Gallery module that lets you set a featured video for a product and build a full video or audio gallery, using links from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, self-hosted files, or MP3 audio.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to add featured and gallery video or audio to your products in Botiga.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Botiga theme on your WordPress site. If you’re using features from Botiga Pro, ensure that both the Botiga theme and the Botiga Pro plugin are installed and active. The Product Video Gallery module is a Botiga Pro feature, so this requires Botiga Pro.
First, enable the Product Video Gallery module from Appearance ยป Theme Dashboard.
How to set up a product with a featured video or audio
- Make sure the Product Video Gallery module is enabled.
- Go to Products in your admin area and edit the product you want to add a featured video to.
- Scroll down to the Botiga Product Options box.
- Expand the Featured Video tab.
- Check Enable Featured Video and enter the video URL.
The Featured Video URL field accepts YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and self-hosted videos. Paste the video link into the field and the theme renders the video automatically. This field also accepts audio links in MP3 format.
Important: on shop catalog and archive pages, this feature replaces the product’s featured image with the specified video.
How to set up a product with a video or audio gallery
- Make sure the Product Video Gallery module is enabled.
- Go to Products in your admin area and edit the product you want to add a gallery to.
- Scroll down to the Botiga Product Options box.
- Expand the Featured Video tab.
- Check Enable Video Gallery and enter the video URLs, or upload your own video or audio.
The gallery fields accept YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and self-hosted videos, along with MP3 audio. Paste the link into the field and the theme renders it automatically. You can also upload your own videos using the Upload Videos button.
