Pro Product Audio

The Product Audio module lets you replace the featured product images with audio files in your WooCommerce store.

You can embed an audio file either from an audio hosting platform or your own domain.

You can use the Product Audio module to sell podcasts, music files, audio recordings of events, and other audio products. As Merchant Pro also adds an audio player to each file, your visitors can listen to your recordings or music straight from your website.

In the screenshot below, you can see an example of a product audio file added by Merchant Pro to a WooCommerce product page:

As the Product Audio module replaces the featured image, the embedded audio players will also be visible on your Shop and lower-level catalog pages (e.g. shop category pages) as well as in your product widgets (e.g. Related products).

In the screenshot below, you can see an example of three products with featured product audios on a WooCommerce Shop page:

Note, however, that you still need to add a featured product image because WooCommerce needs it for other functionalities — for example, the featured product image will still be used on your Cart page.

So you’ll need to upload both a featured product image and a product audio to use Merchant Pro’s Product Audio module on a WooCommerce site.

In the screenshot below, you can see where you can add a featured product image on a WooCommerce product page:

Now let’s see how to configure and activate Merchant Pro’s Product Audio module.

1. Open the Product Audio Module

Open your Merchant dashboard by clicking the Merchant menu in the left sidebar of your WordPress admin area.

Find the Improve Experience section, then click the Product Audio module to open its settings page:

2. Configure the Global Settings

On the module’s admin page, find the Settings section and decide whether you want to enable the Autoplay functionality for your product audios:

If you changed the settings, click the Save button in the top-right corner of the page.

3. Enable the Module

To activate the module, click the Enable button at the top of the module’s page:

4. Add a Product Audio File

Once the module is enabled, Merchant Pro will add some new options to each of your WooCommerce product pages.

To access them, open a product page from the Products > All Products menu, then scroll down to the Merchant Product Options section.

Insert the URL of the audio file (starting with the https:// protocol) into the Audio URL field. If you want, you can also enable the autoplay functionality for this one audio (this option overrides the global Autoplay option set in Step 2):

How to Upload an Audio File?

To add an audio file from your own computer, first, you need to upload it to your WordPress Media Library (available from the Media > Library menu).

Once it uploads, open the attachment and copy the File URL:

Then, insert this URL into the Audio URL field in the Merchant Product Options section on the WooCommerce product page.
