Inactive Tab Message

Merchant’s free Inactive Tab Message module changes the title of the browser tab when visitors navigate away from your store.

By showing a personalized message on your store’s tab, you can grab and hold your customers’ attention while they’re browsing other websites. The inactive tab message feature aims to reduce cart abandonment at your eCommerce store.

In the screenshot below, you can see an example of the Inactive Tab Message module on the frontend of a WooCommerce store:

Now let’s see how to configure and enable the module.

1. Open the Inactive Tab Message Module

Open your Merchant dashboard by clicking the Merchant menu in the left sidebar of your WordPress admin area.

Under the Reduce Abandonment heading, click the Inactive Tab Message module to open its settings page:

2. Personalize Your Messages

Before activating the Inactive Tab Message module, you can customize the message that will be displayed on the inactive browser tab.

In the Settings section, you can set up two types of messages:

  • Message – This message will be shown if your customer’s shopping cart is still empty.
  • Abandoned cart message – This message will be shown if there’s at least one product in your customer’s cart.
