Want to build trust with potential customers by showing off real reviews? The Testimonial block in aThemes Blocks lets you display stylish, customizable testimonials with photos, names, company info, and a built-in carousel, all from inside the Gutenberg editor.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to enable, configure, and style the Testimonial block with aThemes Blocks.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the aThemes Blocks plugin on your WordPress site.
Enabling the Testimonial Block
First, enable the Testimonial block from the Blocks Dashboard. Once enabled, open any page or post and add the Testimonial block from the block inserter.


Configuring General Settings
With the Testimonial block selected, open the General tab in the settings sidebar.
Content
- Set the number of testimonials to display.
- Choose the number of columns.
- Adjust the column gap and content gap.
- Set horizontal alignment to start, center, or end.
Image
- Add images based on the number of testimonials selected.
- Set the image position (top, bottom, left, or right).
- Choose the image style: normal, circle, square, or rounded.
- Adjust the image size and width.
Carousel
- Toggle navigation, pause on hover, autoplay, loop, and auto height.
- Set the transition duration (in milliseconds).
- Pick a navigation type: arrows, dots, or both.

Styling the Testimonial Block
Switch to the Style tab to customize each element:
- Content – Set the color, typography, and bottom spacing.
- Name – Set the color, typography, and bottom spacing.
- Company – Set the color and typography.
- Navigation – Customize arrow size, border size, border radius, offset, color, background color, and border color. Also set dots offset and dots color.
- Background – Set a background color for the testimonial block.
- Border – Choose a border style (solid, dashed, dotted, etc.).
- Spacing – Adjust the padding and margin.

Configuring Advanced Settings
- Layout – Adjust padding, margin, and Z-index.
- Background – Set a background color for the entire block.
- Border – Apply a border style (solid, dashed, dotted, etc.) to the whole block.
- Animation – Apply entrance animations like slide in, fade in, zoom in, rotate in, or flip in.
- Responsive – Hide the block on desktop, tablet, or mobile.
- Advanced – Add custom CSS classes or CSS IDs for further styling.
