Want to introduce your team on your WordPress site? The Team block in aThemes Blocks lets you showcase team members with customizable photos, names, titles, and social links using attractive layouts from inside the Gutenberg editor.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to enable, configure, and style the Team block with aThemes Blocks.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the aThemes Blocks plugin on your WordPress site.
Enabling the Team Block
First, enable the Team block from the Blocks Dashboard. Once enabled, open any page or post and add the Team block from the block inserter.
Configuring General Settings
With the Team block selected, open the General tab in the settings sidebar.
Content
- Set the content gap between elements.
- Choose the horizontal alignment: start, center, or end.
Image
- Upload an image for each team member.
- Set the image position: top, bottom, left, or right.
- Choose the image style: normal, circle, square, or rounded.
- Adjust the image size and width.
Styling the Team Block
Switch to the Style tab to customize the appearance of each element:
- Name – Set the color, typography, and bottom spacing.
- Company – Set the color, typography, and bottom spacing.
- Background – Set a background color for the team block.
- Border – Choose a border style (solid, dashed, dotted, etc.).
- Spacing – Adjust the padding and margin.
Configuring Advanced Settings
- Layout – Adjust padding, margin, and Z-index.
- Background – Set a background color for the entire block.
- Animation – Apply entrance animations like slide in, fade in, zoom in, rotate in, or flip in.
- Responsive – Hide the block on desktop, tablet, or mobile.
- Advanced – Add custom CSS classes or CSS IDs for further styling.
