Want to send customers straight to checkout instead of through the cart page? The Buy Now feature in Botiga Pro adds a Buy Now button to your shop catalog and product pages, skipping the View Cart step and shortening the path to purchase.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up the Buy Now feature in Botiga Pro.

Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Botiga theme on your WordPress site along with WooCommerce. If you’re using features from Botiga Pro, ensure that both the Botiga theme and the Botiga Pro plugin are installed and active. This feature requires Botiga Pro.

Here’s what a Buy Now button looks like on a product page in the Jewellery demo. You can display it with or without an Add To Cart button next to it.

1. Enabling the Buy Now Module

From your admin area, go to Appearance >> Theme Dashboard >> Theme Features and toggle the Buy Now module on.

2. Customizing Buy Now Buttons Globally

Once the module is enabled, click Customize next to it. The Customizer opens to the Buy Now section. You can also reach it manually through WooCommerce >> Buy Now in the Customizer.

  1. Button Text: sets the label on every Buy Now button across your site (default: “Buy Now”).
  2. Redirect To: sets the page customers land on after clicking the button (default: Checkout).
  3. Single Product – Display Position: controls where the button appears on single product pages.
  4. Shop Catalog – Display Position: controls where the button appears on catalog pages.
  5. Auto Reset Cart: clears the cart before adding the Buy Now product.
  6. Hide Add To Cart Button: hides the Add To Cart button so only Buy Now shows.
  7. Remove Added To Cart Message: removes the View Cart notice from the checkout page.
  8. Display Conditions: picks the pages where Buy Now buttons appear (single products only, for example). See our guide on using display conditions in Botiga for details.

3. Customizing Buy Now Buttons Per Product

The Buy Now settings in the Customizer apply site-wide, but you can override some of them on a product-by-product basis.

Open the product you want to customize and scroll down to the Botiga Product Options panel on the product admin page.

Open the Buy Now tab and configure these settings:

  1. Button Text: sets the button label for this specific product.
  2. Redirect To: sets the redirect destination for this product.
  3. Redirect To – Custom URL: when Redirect To is set to Custom URL, this field defines the destination.

Can I show Buy Now without Add To Cart?

Yes. Toggle Hide Add To Cart Button in the Customizer so only the Buy Now button appears.

Does Buy Now keep other items in the cart?

By default, yes. Toggle Auto Reset Cart if you want Buy Now to clear the cart before adding the new product.

Can I send shoppers to a custom URL instead of checkout?

Yes. On the individual product page, set Redirect To to Custom URL and enter the destination in the Redirect To – Custom URL field.
