Activate the Widget

This widget is part of the aThemes Addons for Elementor plugin. To activate it:

  1. Go to the aThemes Addons dashboard in your WordPress admin area.
  2. Search for the News Ticker widget.
  3. Toggle the switch to activate it. The widget will now be available in the Elementor editor.

Widget Options

Title Settings

  • Title: Set the text for the news ticker title.
  • Title Tag: Choose the HTML tag for the title (H1–H6, span, div, etc.).
  • Title Decoration: Add visual enhancements like arrows or diagonal lines.
  • Icon: Insert an icon before or after the title.
  • Icon Position: Set the icon to appear before or after the title.

Post Query Settings

  • Post Type: Select the type of posts to display (posts, pages, or custom post types).
  • Categories & Tags: Filter posts by category or tag.
  • Number of Posts: Define how many posts should appear in the ticker.
  • Order By: Sort posts by date, title, or random order.
  • Include/Exclude Posts: Choose specific posts to include or exclude.

Display Options

  • Show Thumbnail: Toggle the display of post featured images.
  • Image Size: Choose the size of featured thumbnails.
  • Show Date: Display the post’s publication date.
  • Title Tag for Items: Define the HTML tag for post titles.

Ticker Behavior Settings

  • Transition Speed: Set how fast the ticker transitions between posts.
  • Autoplay Speed: Determine how long each post remains visible before transitioning.
  • Enable Loop: Enable or disable continuous looping of posts.

Style Options

  • Title Colors & Typography: Customize the font, size, and color of the title.
  • Background Colors: Adjust the background color of the ticker bar.
  • Post Title Colors & Hover Effects: Modify text styling and hover effects.
  • Thumbnail Border Radius: Apply rounded corners to images.
