Ready to set up the Customize theme on your Shopify store? Installing it takes just a few minutes: you upload the theme file, let Shopify process it, then publish.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to install the Customize theme.
Before you get started, make sure you have access to your Shopify store’s admin and have downloaded the Customize theme ZIP file from the link we sent you.
To install Customize to your Shopify store, follow these steps:
- Download Customize from the link we sent you.
- Visit the admin of your Shopify store.
- Click Online Store.
- The Themes tab should be selected automatically.
- Scroll down and find the Upload Theme button.
- Either drag and drop the ZIP theme file you downloaded, or browse and upload it by clicking Add file.
- Click Upload file.
It’s normal for themes to take several minutes to install. After the theme is installed, it’s unpublished by default. To publish it, click the Actions dropdown and click Publish.
That’s it! You’ve successfully installed the Customize theme on your Shopify store.
