Configuring the Header Layout in Botiga

Want to change your Botiga site’s header layout and add extra elements like search or social icons? The legacy header system in Botiga lets you pick a layout and drag elements into the available slots.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to configure the header layout in Botiga.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Botiga theme on your WordPress site. If you’re using features from Botiga Pro, ensure that both the Botiga theme and the Botiga Pro plugin are installed and active.
Note: if you’re using the header and footer builder, follow our guide on using the header and footer builder instead. The steps below apply to the legacy header and footer system.
Choosing a Header Layout
From your admin area, go to Customize >> Header >> Main Header >> Layout:

Adding Additional Elements
Select the layout you want to use, then scroll down to the options under the Elements heading. Use these to add extra elements to your header. The available slots depend on the layout you picked, and the slot locations are highlighted below.

Use these sortable fields to select the elements you want to display:

Based on your element choices, new options will appear automatically in the Customizer. Use them to configure your selected elements.
