Want to showcase a collection of videos in a clean, filterable grid? The Video Gallery widget in aThemes Addons lets you build visually appealing galleries with YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted videos, complete with hover effects and category filters.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to activate, configure, and style the Video Gallery widget in aThemes Addons.


Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the aThemes Addons plugin on your WordPress site along with Elementor. For premium widgets, ensure aThemes Addons Pro is also installed and active. This widget requires aThemes Addons Pro.

To enable the Video Gallery widget, go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to aThemes Addons » Widgets. Find Video Gallery and toggle it on.

Once enabled, open any page in the Elementor editor, search for Video Gallery, and drag it onto your page.

In the Gallery Layout section, control how items are arranged on the page:

  • Columns – Set the number of columns for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Gutter – Adjust the spacing between gallery items.

Use the Gallery Items section to add each video. Every entry includes the following fields:

  • Video Type – Choose between YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted.
  • Video URL – Enter the YouTube or Vimeo link.
  • Image – Upload a thumbnail image for the video.
  • Title – Add a title for the gallery item.
  • Content – Add optional descriptive text.
  • Filter Term – Assign a category so visitors can filter items.

Adjusting Settings

Filter

  • Show Filter – Toggle the display of the filter bar.
  • Show All Text – Customize the label for the Show All filter option.
  • Filter Alignment – Align filter items left, center, or right.

Images

  • Hover Effect – Choose from effects like Zoom In, Opacity, or Rotate.
  • Transition Duration – Adjust the speed of the hover effect.

Content

  • Vertical Alignment – Top, Middle, or Bottom.
  • Content Alignment – Left, Center, or Right.
  • HTML Tag – Set the tag for item titles (H1, H2, etc.).
