[PRO] Adding a Wishlist to Your Store

Would you like shoppers to save their favorite products and come back to buy them later? Botiga Pro includes a wishlist feature that lets customers build a wishlist and find their saved products quickly.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up the wishlist in Botiga.

Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Botiga theme on your WordPress site. If you’re using features from Botiga Pro, ensure that both the Botiga theme and the Botiga Pro plugin are installed and active. The wishlist is a Botiga Pro feature, so this requires Botiga Pro.

Note: The wishlist feature uses cookies. Some jurisdictions require you to inform your users about the cookies on your website. If this applies to your jurisdiction, add this to your cookie policy when using the wishlist feature.

The wishlist feature is bundled as a module, so to start using it, enable the module from Appearance » Theme Dashboard.

Next, go to Appearance » Customize » WooCommerce » Wishlist and activate the feature by selecting one of the available layouts.

Once you select a layout, new options appear.

  • Wishlist Tooltip: Shows a tooltip when the shopper hovers over the wishlist icon on a product.
  • Tooltip Text: The text shown in the tooltip.
  • Wishlist Page Settings: Creates the page where products added to the wishlist are shown.

You can also show or hide the wishlist icon in the header.

No. The wishlist uses cookies to remember saved products, so shoppers can build a wishlist without logging in.

On the wishlist page you create in Wishlist Page Settings. You can also add a wishlist icon to the header so shoppers can reach it from anywhere.
