[Pro] Setting Up Related, Upsell, and Recently Viewed Products

Would you like to show shoppers more of your catalog while they browse a product? Botiga Pro extends the free version of Botiga with options for related, upsell, and recently viewed products, each with its own slider and layout controls.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up related, upsell, and recently viewed products in Botiga.

Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Botiga theme on your WordPress site. If you’re using features from Botiga Pro, ensure that both the Botiga theme and the Botiga Pro plugin are installed and active. These three product sections are Botiga Pro features, so this requires Botiga Pro.

Enable these options from Appearance » Customize » WooCommerce » Single Products » Layout.

  1. Related Products: Enable or disable the related products.
  2. Related Products Slider: Turn the related products into a slider.
  3. Related Products Slider Navigation: Select the navigation type for the slider.
  4. Number of Products: The number of products to render inside the related products.
  5. Number of Columns: The number of columns to display in the related products grid.

Upsell products

Important: Upsell products only show on the product page if the product has linked products. To add linked products, edit the product, navigate to the Product Data box, click Linked Products, and add the products in the Upsells field.

Once the products are configured with linked products, enable upsell products from Appearance » Customize » WooCommerce » Single Products » Layout.

Why aren’t my upsell products showing?

Upsell products only appear when the product has linked products. Edit the product, open the Linked Products tab in the Product Data box, and add products to the Upsells field.

Yes. Each section has its own slider toggle in the Customizer, along with a navigation type setting so you can pick how shoppers move through the slider.
