Using the Posts List Widget
Want to display your blog posts in a clean list or grid layout on any page? The Posts List widget in aThemes Addons for Elementor gives you full control over post queries, layout styles, pagination, and visual customization.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to activate and configure the Posts List widget in aThemes Addons.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the aThemes Addons plugin on your WordPress site along with Elementor.
Activating the Widget
Go to your WordPress admin dashboard and navigate to the aThemes Addons dashboard. Search for “Posts List” and toggle the widget on to activate it. Once activated, the Posts List widget becomes available in the Elementor editor.

Exploring Widget Options
After adding the Posts List widget to your page, you’ll find several sections in the Content tab to configure its behavior and layout.
Configuring the Layout Section
The Layout section controls the overall display style. Configure the following options:
- Post Style – Choose between Classic (grid) or List layout.
- Columns – Set the number of columns for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Item Gap – Adjust the spacing between post items.
Configuring the Query Section
The Query section determines which posts appear in the list. Configure the following options:
- Query Type – Select Main Query (inherits from the page) or Custom Query.
- Post Type – Choose posts, pages, or any custom post type.
- Taxonomies – Filter by categories, tags, or other taxonomies.
- Posts – Include or exclude specific posts by name.
- Number of Posts – Set how many posts to display.
- Order By – Sort posts by date, title, or random order.
- Order – Choose ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC) order.
- Ignore Sticky Posts – Toggle to exclude sticky posts from the results.
- Offset – Skip a specified number of posts from the beginning of the query.

Configuring the Elements Section
The Elements section controls which post details appear on each card:
- Post Title – Toggle the title on or off and select the HTML tag.
- Image – Toggle the featured image and configure size, height, fit, position, and width.
- Post Info – Display the date, author, and categories with a customizable delimiter.
- Excerpt – Toggle the excerpt and set the word count.
- Read More – Customize the read more text and alignment.
- Pagination – Enable pagination and configure next/previous text labels.

Customizing the Style Tab
Switch to the Style tab to customize the visual appearance of the posts list.

Styling the Card
Adjust the overall card appearance with Padding, Border Radius, Background Color, Border, and Box Shadow settings.
Styling the Image
Control the featured image display with Border Radius and Height options.
Styling the Post Titles
Customize the post titles with Color, Hover Color, and Typography controls.
Styling the Post Meta
Style the post meta information with Color, Typography, and Spacing settings.
Styling the Excerpt
Adjust the excerpt text with Color and Typography options.
Styling the Pagination
Customize the pagination controls with Color (normal, active, and hover states), Typography, and Spacing settings.
