Getting Started with Airi

Want to get your Airi site looking like the demo as quickly as possible? This quick start guide covers the three essential steps: installing the theme, adding recommended plugins, and importing demo content.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get started with the Airi theme on your WordPress site.

Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the Airi theme on your WordPress site.

1. Install the theme

Install the theme by going to Appearance > Themes > Add New. Once you’re here, either search for the theme or upload the .zip file in case you’ve downloaded the theme manually;

Install the recommended plugins:

  • Elementor and Kirki  – these two plugins will help you match your site to our demo sites;
  • Mailchimp for WP and Contact Form 7  – if you want, you can install these two plugins also. They are used in some of our demos.

You will see a notice to install them after you’ve activated the theme

3. Import demo content

This step is optional. This is the easiest way to get a quick start with Airi as it will reproduce our demo site on your own site.

Install this  plugin and then navigate to Appearance > Import Demo Data. It will import all demo content and change your homepage and blog page to the ones from our demo site. It will also assign a menu.

Please note: if you can’t connect to our server to automatically import the demo content, you can grab a .zip file with all the demo content for Agency, Startup and Health Coach from here. The files types are: .wie for the widget content, .dat for the Customizer settings and .xml for the actual demo content.

That’s it! You’ve successfully installed the Airi theme, added the recommended plugins, and imported demo content to your WordPress site.
