In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to install, activate, and configure aThemes Addons Pro on your WordPress site.
Before you get started, make sure you’ve installed and activated the aThemes Addons plugin on your WordPress site along with Elementor. For premium widgets, ensure aThemes Addons Pro is also installed and active.
Install the aThemes Addons Pro plugin
First, install the plugin by logging into your WordPress admin area. Navigate to Plugins > Add New from the left sidebar menu.
On the following screen, click the Upload Plugin button located at the top of the page:
On the next page, click the Browse button, locate the ZIP file you downloaded from your purchase receipt email (or from your account page, where it’s available anytime), and upload & install the plugin:
Once the plugin is installed, simply click on Activate.
Finding the Addons Dashboard
Once the plugin is activated, a new menu item will show up in your WordPress admin area. Everything related to both the free and the pro features of the plugin can be found there.
Activating your License
The first thing you should do is activate your license. This ensures that you’ll receive automatic Addons Pro update notifications in your WordPress dashboard.
You will also find your license key in purchase receipt email (or from your account page, where it’s available anytime).
To add the license key and activate the product, please go to Settings tab in your Addons dashboard:
Enable or Disable Widgets
aThemes Addons comes with some widgets activated by default. You can disable or enable more widgets from the Widgets tab inside your dashboard. You can also find more info about each widget.

- Filters – you can filter the widgets by category, active state, and free/pro;
- Documentation and widget landing page;
- Button to activate/deactivate – changes are saved automatically;
- Search field
Enable or Disable Extensions
The Extensions are tools that enhance your Elementor editor and make it more powerful. Visit the Extensions tab to enable any extension.
Use the Theme Builder
The Theme Builder feature in aThemes Addons Pro allows you to customize your WordPress using Elementor. With this powerful tool, you can design and manage essential parts of your website, such as headers, footers, single posts, and archive pages, all without touching a single line of code.
Go to the Theme Builder tab, select the type of template you want to build and use Elementor to build it.
